Panera Bread: a really good breadtime story!

I’m a bread-lover. The taste, smell and texture of bread is like a tiny bit of Heaven to my senses. Along with great taste, I’m always in search of healthier alternatives to the typical supermarket breads. And, bread slices are meant to be eaten in pairs, cradling a tasty, nutritious middle layer. Add a delicious homemade soup or salad and you’ve got a Panera Bread meal, fit for gourmets and health food fanatics, alike.

But, wait, there’s more…

Panera Bread has consistently been rated at the top of the list for its nutritious, delicious, high quality food, by such sources as The New York TimesHealth.com and Business Insider.  With a commitment to serve only quality foods,  the company tasted 30 varieties of chicken before selecting an antibiotic-free variety to serve in its stores.

Panera Bread cares about people…

All Panera Bread franchises donate all of the baked goods remaining on their shelves at the end of each day to Day End Dough-Nation. If that’s not impressive enough, some Panera Breads operate on a pay-what-you-can system, that allows customers to pay more or less than the suggested menu price. Some locations help ensure that no one goes hungry by allowing a customer who cannot pay for his or her meal at the time, to volunteer for an hour a week at the cafe to earn a voucher for a free meal.

There you go, so many great reasons to become a Panera Bread regular!
