In 1990, in a Cambridge, Massachusetts mall, the first Bath and Body Works opened it doors to the public.
Founded in New Albany, Ohio, in 1990, Bath and Body Works is a paradise for anyone looking to be indulged with beauty products, candles and soaps.
A secondary brand called Bath & Body Works at Home was launched in 1997 and has since been renamed White Barn Candle Company.
Time to expand
In July 2008, the company acquired Canadian-based La Senza, taking their place in the Canadian market with The Body Shop as its main competitor.
In October 2010, it opened its first stores outside of North America in Kuwait.
The body care segment features products that are tailored to both men and women, including fragrances, body wash, shower gel, shave foam, body lotion, bar soap and lip care.
Taking a vacation or travelling on business? The Travel Body Care collection offers three-ounce bottles of shower gel, lotions, body creams and fragrance mists.
